The C2R version compatible with Win7 can be changed by editing the oldCompatVrs and oldCompatId parameters in the wotok_mdl file.Īttached is the wotok_mdl.cmd that I'm using and it's working like a charm for me on Win7. That way, I can download pure versions of Office 2019 with the original C2R (which will not be installed on Windows 7) or versions with the C2R installer that works on Win7. Since the wotok_mdl.cmd feature to activate Windows digitally has been removed by the MDL rules, I replaced this option (in the case "/") to enable or disable downloads of the C2R installer that works with Windows 7 (see attached image). My modifications in wotok_mdl, currently, make this combination and it works perfectly. So, I download these two cabinet files from the latest version of Office 2019 compatible with Windows 7 (in this case, version 1.20002) and get the rest of the files from the latest available version of Office 2019. The installation of Office on Windows is conducted by files from a cabinet file (i640.cab - win64 or i320.cab - win32) that has the C2R executables. In particular, I am updating wotok_mdl.cmd to allow installations on Windows 7.
